Everybody wants to achieve success but only few manage to do so. Often, we blame lack of talent or resources. But the real issue isn’t we lack something. It’s on what we believe. Belief can truly help you or hurt you.

Most important resources which help in achieving something is “Our Mind”. You can operate Mind through multiple ways to get right mindset. The one most important way is through belief – a most common and easy way to deal with mind.

Belief can help you or hurt you?

Carol Dweck a well known researcher and student of Stanford university, Known for her famous research on “fixed mindset v/s growth mindset” which is truly a good study to know well about belief and mindset. Here’s how Dweck describes between two different mindset and what’s their impact –

“Student with fixed mindset believes on their ability, their intelligence, their talent and they believe they are just fixed traits. All this things are just that, and they don’t have to look dumb. In a growth mindset students understand their talent and skills can be developed through learning, persistence and through good efforts. They don’t put ourself with long expectation and compare ourself with Other. They understand everyone couldn’t be Einstein or some other person.”

The benefit of students with growth mindset is obvious high. The student with fixed mindset may get frustrated in several situations. They find ourself in several things on backseat, because of their fixed mindset. They will not able to adapt things which are introducing new in the developing world.

For example, if a person believes “I’m bad at running”. That person will make excuses, avoid practicing. Fixed mindset may prevent you from failing in short term – but in long term it can create problem.

Growth mindset people will may fail in first attempt or more, but due to his belief. That person will keep trying hard and made things possible. No matter the work given to him, he knows or didn’t. He will try his best.

As a result, person will get to learn from everything he came through. No matter how worse situation may be, How much critics he getting? The only thing he will believe, that he can learn and come out of all this. Person will find inspiration even in worst situation, and lead it to success.


Can belief pull you back?

Above research taught about the connection what you believe and what you do.

If you believe in…

  • “It is not achievable”
  • “I am not able to do it”
  • “That is not meant to me”
  • “I am incapable for this”
  • “I am not good in….. “

This things will create a negative mindset which results to be a mindset – hinders to do something you don’t know. Holds you back from achieving what you want to achieve.

What you should you do to come out of this? Which things should you try? How can you change your belief, eliminate fixed mindset and achieve goals?


How belief build?

There are several examples in the world which prove that you can build your belief. We are going to discuss some examples here. All the example have taught you what they believe what they become because of their believe –

  1. Zion Clark – a great person who unfortunately doesn’t have both the legs. The people around him, bully him that he is unable to do anything. But this person believes in himself. He work on himself, he doesn’t make any excuse. He work so hard – that he compete against the best guys in the world in wrestling.”
  2. Srikanth Bolla – a Indian born visually impaired in a small farmer home. He was the first person in his family to get education, even he denied from admission in higher secondary in science stream. He went to court and won the case. He is now one of the biggest industrialist in India. Despite being blind.”

From above two examples, the you can clearly differentiate between fixed mindset and growth mindset. A person who doesn’t have leg and other one is not able to see. Even with this disability they didn’t low their belief, and practices hard enough that they are field or professions great leader.

You can also do through believing on yourself. Only one thing which hold you back is what you believe. You have to believe in yourself whatever the world says to you. Every body has different perspective to watch one thing differently. Their is nothing which couldn’t be achieve.


What you should do?

From examples we have discussed, researches and what pulls us back. We can clearly say that whatever we does if our mindset is good, than whatever we can do. We can still achieve our goals, every goal is achievable with right efforts and hard work.

People who give up and people who just stays there, have only difference which mindset play. If a person has right mindset for his goal, than he will only look to win. Their is nothing about resources, it’s only about how badly you want things.

No matter how bad you are at starting, no matter what is mind saying – just work for goal. Everything will become secondary if you do things with right mindset.
